NB - On typing up the results I noticed that Roddy was erroneously put
in the C final above, whereas he should have been in the B final with Dave
demoted to the C. I think the best way of “correcting” this is to:
·
demote Dave to 9th (the best
position he could have finished in if he’d been put in the correct final)
·
promote Roddy to 8th (the
position he qualified in)
·
promote Craig to 7th (You
could maybe argue that Roddy should be 7th because he did more laps in his final
than Craig, but then Craig could argue that Roddy should have been on the worst
lane in the B whereas he got the best lane in the C. For me, it’s significant
that Craig beat Roddy in qualifying so I think he has a slightly better claim to
7th
