2009 BSL Finals
As I am sure regular BSL racers will be aware The Finals take place on 7th
& 8th Nov at our established venue of Lowther Pavilion, Lowther Terrace,
Lytham St.Annes FY8 5QQ.
In the past we have always circulated entry forms & been successful in
getting most of these returned with payment in advance of the meeting which
makes organising the meeting easier.
Unfortunately this year due to the postal dispute this is not practical so I am
announcing the main details here and would appreciate racers letting me know off
group what entries to expect from their clubs.
Please note you do not need to have raced on the series to enter the Finals and
racers from all corners are most welcome to come and race at this friendly 2 day
production car racing meeting on the 8 lane Grand Prix circuit.
SATURDAY: Practice (all events) 10.00 - 1.30
Club Enduro Race 2.00 - 7.00. Cars to 1/24 BSL Production rules but with choice
of ISRA & BSCRA legal 1/24th production Gp12 motors, BSCRA 1//32nd
Production & Super Production legal motors. Separate award for fastest
Falcon powered team. Teams to contain 3 - 5 members with max of 75% grade A
drivers. Min driving time 20%, max 40% per driver.
SUNDAY: 8.00 - 8.45 Sunday arrival practice.
8.45 - 9.15 Organised single practice session practice - all drivers.
9.30 1/32nd Individual Production Racing (to BSCRA rules + JK 3 pce chassis)
4 x 3 min heats with best 2 to count. Single lane 5 min Finals for all.
1.30 - 6.30 1/24th Production Race to BSL rules for 2 person team (max. 1
grade A driver) Likely min racing time 10 mins. per lane.
6.30 Track cleaning followed by Presentation
ENTRY FEES: Enduro £35 per team. Individuals £8 per class & 1/2 price
under 16.
ACCOMODATION & OTHER INFO: Most have their accommodation favorites but if
you require any more help or info I will be pleased to help.
